SJO is an Introduction to Judaism program ideal for those coming back to Judaism or those desiring to Convert To Judaism.  SJO is a prerequisite to enrollment in CTJ: Converting To Judaism.


Classes cover the fundamentals of Orthodox Judaism and what it means to live a Jewish life, providing the foundation necessary for embracing Jewish practices, understanding Torah principles, and integrating into the broader Jewish community with confidence and clarity.


Students are provided daily, live and interactive classes with various Orthodox Rabbis, including Guest Speakers, as well as a wide range of opportunities for additional learning, socializing and engagement.


What You Will Learn:

Fundamentals of Judaism

Learn the ins and outs of the core tenets of Judaism and what makes a Jew, a Jew. You will begin to unpack the blueprint of Jewish life, gaining insights into rituals, traditions, and the spiritual values that have shaped the Jewish people for generations.

Introduction to Jewish Law

Learning Jewish law is essential for understanding the practical application of Torah values in everyday life and connects learners to centuries of Jewish tradition.

Introduction To Hebrew

Learning the Hebrew Alef-Bet is fundamental for connecting with the original language of the Torah, prayer, and Jewish texts, deepening one’s understanding of Jewish tradition.


Mastering the Hebrew alphabet enables individuals to engage more meaningfully in synagogue services and personal prayer by reading and reciting Hebrew prayers.
